CLINICAL MENTORSHIP CIRCLE
Born of popular demand, the Clinical Mentorship Circle is Terra Sylva’s long-awaited continuation—a living classroom for practicing herbalists to deepen their clinical work through mentored case discussions, collaborative learning, and ongoing education.
Our Community Herbalism programs teach you to serve your community with skill and confidence. The Clinical Mentorship Circle extends that learning into real-world practice, offering guidance and peer support as you grow into focused work with individuals.
The Circle is facilitated by Dave Meesters and Janet Kent, and structured for maximum flexibility and emergent potential. This is how it will work:
Participation is limited to those who’ve completed Terra Sylva’s Advanced Community Herbalism program.
The Circle is ongoing. You can stay for as long as you like—there is no ‘end’ or ‘completion.’ Enrollment is by recurring monthly subscription, and you are free to come & go from the Circle as your capacity and interest allows.
The Circle is hosted in a private online classroom with discussion forums, resource libraries, educational content, and recurring live sessions.
Every month will include:
One or more case review roundtables, where participants bring anonymized cases for discussion and review. The whole group will exchange ideas and questions about the cases, and Janet and Dave will provide guidance and feedback.
New classes, research presentations, and clinical resources on topics relevant to herbal practice and relevant to the cases we’ve been discussing.
These may include classes on health conditions, advanced therapeutics, herbal materia media, advanced herbal preparations, clinical skills & ethics, and much more
Between live sessions, the classroom forums will be active for ongoing discussion and support.
A certificate of completion will be awarded to participants who present a specified number of cases to the group, including follow-ups with the client. Cases presented and educational hours earned in the CMC can be used in applying to be a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild.
At Terra Sylva, we speak of clinical herbalism in the broadest sense. You don’t need a practice room or a website—if you’re sitting down for detailed consultations, taking notes, assembling plans of care, and following up, the Clinical Mentorship Circle exists to support you.
We’re thrilled to finally offer a way to accompany herbalists from the very beginning of their learning journey all the way through the refinement of their clinical practice. We hope to see you in the Circle one day.
The Clinical Mentorship Circle begins in late 2025!
